Merriam Park Bungalow Kitchen

A modern kitchen filled with detail for a private chef and her family. A combination of color, classic finishes, and hand crafted details, along with curated art and pottery brings together an everyday environment that has become central to this young families daily lives.

Victorian Four Square

This project was a complete overhaul of the kitchen, the bathroom that existed above and a redesign of the first floor living and dining rooms, entrance hall, stairwell and second floor hallway.  And when I say overhaul, I'm not speaking lightly.  This is an early 20th century victorian foursquare that needed re-leveling of the entire back corner of the house and was subsequently opened up from the basement to the second story, braced and leveled so that we could create the kitchen of their dreams.  

The guest bathroom above became a little showstopper of its own and I selected a wallcovering from Kelly Wearstler that was installed in the entire entrance hall up to the entire second floor hallway to create a dynamic feeling of energy and graphic quality and has become an art installation in and of itself for the art collecting homeowners.  This home has won awards and has been featured in local home magazines over the years.

 I've been working with these homeowners for many years and they have become close friends. Italian Village Townhome

This project scope was an interior furnishing and a renovation of the stairwell and upper floor hallway.  Inclusive of new trim and modern shaker doors added to the entire home, paint, wall covering and lighting to freshen up the space and bring it to a modern state of mind for the homeowner.  A colorful and lively space brought more to life through strategic use of tonal color in the living room and celebrating the art collection throughout the home.

The custom bleached white oak flooring was designed by us to have zero seams visible in the wood flooring on the second floor.  Truly a custom fit floor.  The trim and doors were updated with a depth and detail to create a timeless and modern look.

Flats at Kramer Place Design Development + Model Units

I was hired by a developer out of Chicago to redesign the interiors for a complete renovation of this building.  The new goal was to create elevated condo units and interior spaces for this building that was previously a rental complex.  The buyers would be young professionals looking in this popular and very walkable  neighborhood just north of downtown Columbus, Ohio.

We started in 2018 designing all interior layouts and finish packages, material selections and specifications, and furnished the model units and public spaces.  By rebranding this building into a youthful, modern place to call home with an identity unique within the community we were able to set this project apart from other offerings.  The building is now almost sold out!

25 Jeffrey Park Design Development + Model

From beginning to end, I worked with the developer and architects to design this ground up condominium development. Over the course of two years, this project came together and turned into one of the most modern and beautiful residential development projects to come to market in Columbus, Ohio.

Through all design specifications, finish selections, model unit design and furnishing, we are proud of how this project turned out.  Even more thrilling is how well received through multiple press articles and events, and a complete sell out in less than a year.  Thanks to the many partners along the way, teamwork results in a final product that pushed boundaries in a market and created a legacy residential community for the neighborhood.

Mohawk Residence

This project was for a dear friend who purchased a late 19th century home in the historic German Village neighborhood in Columbus, Ohio.  Through color, furniture and art placement guidance this home turned into my clients refuge from his busy days filled with all the things that he loved.  Design is a lesson in geometry and by placing the right things in the right scale in the most appropriate place in the home, you end up with a very comfortable home that has many spaces to live and enjoy.

Mid-Century Modern

This mid century modern project was an interior renovation and decoration with some exterior updates. The history of the home is extensive.  Built in 1940 by a local architect from the school of Frank Lloyd Wright, the home has evidence and connection to the style of Fallingwater, the iconic retreat in Pennsylvania built by Wright in 1935.  The space was created into an art lovers sanctuary with glossy white epoxy floors that have the ability to turn every piece of furniture into a work of art and the Benjamin Moore Repose Grey walls that many galleries use and allows true color of the artwork to come across to the viewer.  Iconic furniture designs are seen throughout with custom pieces from AD100 designer Kelly Wearstler.

Parkview Townhome Kitchen

This project was a custom design to take a builder grade kitchen and customize to fit the homeowners needs.  We designed add on cabinetry above the existing upper cabinets to take advantage of the ceiling height and applied new frosted glass doors to all wall cabinetry.  we designed open concept floating shelves to wrap around the open area to the dining room to give more storage space for glassware and display.  The stacked stone applied to the columns and the gave the space it's own unique identity within this completely open concept first floor.  The peninsula was wrapped with bronze mirror to cover the basic panels left from the builder and bring a unique detail to an often forgotten about area underneath a kitchen counter.  This is a great example of how to take a builder basic kitchen and create a custom design solution without the high end cost.

Italian Village Rowhouse (Home Staging)

This was a fun, inexpensive staging project with a Columbus, OH based developer that I've worked with over the years.  Together we turned a 19th century row house into an updated modern gem in the middle of the vibrant Italian Village neighborhood just north of downtown.  This was a complete gut renovation and sold within weeks!
